UNIDOS music is a call not only to sing unto Him a new song but to be lifted up by spirit of praise with an edgy rock sound..
"Come follow me Jesus said and I will make you fishers of men" Matthew 4:19
Unidos believes it is the message behind the music that ignites and inspires every note. We are here
for a reason & that is to help people know who Jesus is and connect on a deeper level with Him. For
those who don’t know Him, we want to make that introduction, to say your life has a bigger purpose.
UNIDOS is a band that keeps it in the family with a father and his two sons who share the gospel by
rocking out loud for Jesus Christ. UNIDOS is from Southern California. David, Gilbert, and their
father Javier Ramos have a very familiar sound but bring such an innovative style to worship music.
Unidos likes to call it rock n roll worship. UNIDOS's music has been well received by all ages. David's
powerful/melodic and hard rock vocals will grab audiences from all around along with his preacher like
style banter and guitar playing for Jesus. Gilbert's soaring/edgy rock vocals and Bass playing drives
and has you grooving to the spirit of the Lord, while Javier's upbeat drumming will keep you dancing
and rocking for Jesus Christ. Unidos just released a new album Rock n Roll for Jesus that they
recorded at Tate Music Studios in Oklahoma. . The song Rock n roll for Jesus has been featured on
KUCR College Radio 88.3 in Riverside CA. The band will continue to serve the Lord with their high energy
performance, heart felt lyrics and God's message that will leave their listeners wanting more. Unidos is
also available for worship services. The band is going into the studio in 2012 to record their first
worship album featuring covers of their favorite worship songs.
History of UNIDOS
UNIDOS formed in Riverside California in the fall of 2001 after 15-year-old David Ramos joined his
father Javier and Godfather Fidel Jaimes at a local church choir in Riverside California. The choir band
began getting booked by local church goers for private parties and festivals. David and his Godfather
decided to name the band UNI2 because of the bilingual style of music. Realizing the band’s name was
too similar to the popular music group U2, the band changed their name to UNIDOS. In 2004, a bass
player by the name of Michael Lopez joined the band. Through the years, UNIDOS continued to perform
many gigs. In November of 2005, Fidel Jaimes left the band to serve his church full time. In the spring of
2006, the band began to write and record their first project and was later joined by David’s brother
Gilbert who contributed to the self titled album UNIDOS. The band showcased their music throughout
Southern California from Hollywood venues to local bars. In early 2008, Michael Lopez left the band. At
this point, David began teaching Gilbert how to play bass. The band was now a father and sons trio.
They began to rehearse everyday in their home garage & began to write a new album,. in the
process they learned that God had a much better purpose for them and, the Ramos family found Jesus
Christ and was born again.
